My first contact was a quick recruiter screen, and then I received the CodeSignal link for the online assessment. After I completed that, the process moved into a longer onsite structure built around multiple rounds that covered work you’d done, how you think, and how you collaborate.

The onsite portion was split into deep technical and behavioral pieces, and it wasn’t just generic theory. One round was a deep dive into past work and systems design decisions, where I had to explain not only the architecture but also the reasoning behind trade-offs. Another round focused on leadership and behavioral themes, digging into conflict resolution and decision-making in complex situations. There was also an API-design and best-practices coding session that pushed beyond algorithmic problems into designing and building a small API/system from scratch, followed by a system design enhancements round where I had to analyze an existing design and propose improvements around scalability, reliability, trade-offs, and edge cases.
