After I applied through the company portal, I ended up getting shortlisted and then heard from HR pretty quickly. The face-to-face part moved fast after that—HR reached out and I was scheduled for an in-person interview with the finance side (a manager and a director). The whole interview took about an hour, and the vibe felt fairly straightforward and not overly technical.
Most of the questions were behavioral and tied back to my past experiences. They wanted to understand how I’d handled different situations and how my background matched what the team was looking for, rather than testing very specific accounting concepts on the spot. Overall, it felt like a typical screen-to-interview journey where they were measuring fit and communication more than doing deep technical problem-solving.

Difficult Negative United States
My process felt like it was designed to pressure-test my accounting fundamentals. It started with an HR call, then I moved into panel-style rounds where the questions turned heavily technical—especially around accruals, cash and accrual accounting, prepaid expenses, and journal entries. I remember one round focusing on how to think through accounting scenarios rather than just reciting definitions.
After that, there were additional interviews that stayed in the same lane: more technical questions mixed with practical reasoning. I went through a director-level conversation that also included behavioral prompts like why the role and why me, along with the kind of “tell me about yourself” style questions that force you to connect your background to the job. At points it felt intense, but the theme stayed consistent: they wanted clean, correct accounting logic.
