I went through a technical-focused interview where the interviewer jumped straight into questions built around theoretical terms. It felt like the conversation started midway rather than getting grounded in my background or even hearing a quick intro about what I’d worked on.

The discussion stayed tightly on theory, and I wasn’t asked much about engineering work or specific projects I’d done. Because of that, it didn’t feel like the process was designed to understand how I actually approach problems in real situations, and the overall flow of the technical discussion could’ve been smoother.

My first step was a telephonic round focused on technical fundamentals. The questions covered core concepts and moved from basics toward more specific areas like Java and multithreading. After that, I had a second technical telephonic round where the focus shifted into Java 8 and microservices.

Later, I ended up in a longer, more interactive technical setup with a one-on-one call where we went through JavaScript and Angular questions. I also had to write two programs during that stage, so it wasn’t only discussion—it required working through small implementations on the spot. On the managerial side, the conversation tied back to my previous projects, my responsibilities, and some Agile-style questions.
