After receiving an OA through a proctored platform, I sat down for a couple of technical stages. The OA itself had confusing descriptions, and then I had a separate technical interview where I solved a typical LeetCode-style problem in a 60-minute slot—though it leaned on brute-force reasoning rather than anything fancy. I also had a recruiter conversation after that, around 45 minutes, where we covered my background.

In the later technical portion of my journey, I went through an additional set of third-party rounds that were heavy on hands-on coding. One round involved a take-home style machine coding task focused on concurrency (like implementing a concurrent queue and a CSV analyzer), and the next step was an interview deep-diving into my solution. We got into thread and streaming concepts at a pretty detailed level. Ultimately, I didn’t get past the final technical discussion and was rejected. The hardest part wasn’t just the work—it was that the process required tight precision under review, and any mismatch between my implementation and what they expected showed up fast.

I went into the process expecting something coding-heavy, but it felt like the framing changed midstream. They told me it would be a coding round, then it shifted into a technical discussion where no coding questions were asked. Instead, I was asked to describe my role from prior projects, and then we moved into a few Java-focused questions.

Later, I had a separate technical interview that mixed coding with an AI-focused portion. The coding segment was about designing balanced parentheses, and then the AI discussion covered more than vague concepts: it included prompt engineering techniques, how to think about using AI APIs, examples of native AI products, and how my own experience shaped my perspective. It was a short but very dense mix.
