I started with what felt like a straightforward recruiter touchpoint, and the whole process ended up being quick. The technical portion focused on manual testing fundamentals: how I handled SDLC/STLC concepts, how defects move through a lifecycle, and how I write test cases. We also walked through real scenarios like login testing and some e-commerce flow thinking, plus general mobile/web testing fundamentals. There were only a handful of SQL questions, which made the round feel more like baseline validation than deep database work.
Later the same day, I went into a manager/HR-style conversation that was less about testing tactics and more about how I operated day to day. They asked me to explain projects I’d done, how I approached testing in practice, and then I covered my strengths and weaknesses. Toward the end it turned into a career-fit and logistics discussion—why QA for me, plus my availability and salary expectations. Overall it felt smooth and organized, and I left with the sense that they were trying to gauge fit as much as skill.

Difficult Positive India
My process started with a HackerRank-style test with miscellaneous questions, which set the tone quickly. After that, I moved into a technical sequence that included theory mixed with coding and then another technical round that was both coding and scenario-based.
By the end, there was an HR round focused on the usual people-and-process fit, including salary negotiation. The whole thing felt difficult because the technical rounds kept layering in more expectations: not just concepts, but actual coding and practical scenarios. Even with that structure, I did make it to the final HR conversation, though I didn’t end up with an offer.
