My process felt pretty light on the technical side compared to how long it took me to get through it. After an initial recruiter-style step, I ended up doing a live, 1.5-hour case study where I used Python (or whichever tool I chose) to solve the main technical task. The challenge was the bulk of the time, and the rest felt like filler: I also had to give a presentation and handle Q&A afterward with people framed as stakeholders.
Separately, I had a shorter recruiter-to-tech-screen path where the first real bar was SQL for about 45 minutes. I got through the coding portion, but the feedback was that it wasn’t quite up to what the team wanted—especially around experimentation experience and having SQL be strong since it’s a core part of the day-to-day work. Overall, I remember both experiences as somewhat straightforward technically, just not quick or effortless emotionally.

Difficult Neutral California City, CA
I experienced the process as difficult mostly because of time and workload. After the early recruiter/technical steps, I got hit with a long take-home case study where I was expected to analyze a dataset, extract insights, and then present recommendations. The expectation was that it would take about five hours, but it ended up taking me significantly longer.
From there, I moved through a panel-style flow. I had to walk through my approach and results, and I remember getting follow-up questions that probed how I solved the problems and how well I could tell the story of what the data meant for the business. The final round was another panel with a mix of behavioral and technical questions tied to how I’d handle real-world challenges. By the end, I felt like the interview was genuinely assessing my depth, but the schedule pressure was the hardest part of the whole journey, even though it was intellectually rewarding.
