My process had a sales-heavy feel from the start. I went through a first round that involved talking with HR, then I moved into interviews with leaders where the questions kept circling back to what I’d actually do in an Account Executive seat—how I would drive revenue, and how I’d approach the day-to-day work of an SE-style motion when it came to increasing sales. The discussion wasn’t abstract; it focused on specific initiatives I would take to push growth, and how I’d manage the sales funnel.

As I progressed, the structure stayed straightforward: it started with a phone screen, then I had follow-up interviews with the hiring manager and other leadership, with HR brought in to finalize things. The tone could vary depending on the manager—sometimes it felt like I was getting pushed harder than I expected—but it was still basically direct and understandable.
