The process felt uneven from the start. I had two interviews, and the second one with the hiring manager ended up covering much of the same ground as what I’d already answered earlier with the recruiter. When I got to the end and asked my own questions, the hiring manager didn’t really engage in a concrete way.
What stood out most was the direction of the conversation—she asked a very familiar long-horizon question about where I saw myself in five years, and the overall vibe felt like there wasn’t much investment in the candidate experience. After that second interview, I expected an update from the recruiter, but I was essentially left hanging. I emailed again, but nothing came back and I felt completely ghosted. The work itself wasn’t the issue; the communication and professionalism around follow-up was.
