After applying, I started with a recruiter screen, and then the process moved into interviews that felt pretty straightforward and even a little low-stress. I talked with a manager and then went into a team round with senior business analysts and/or IT PMs. Across the conversations, they kept the focus on my experience and on thinking like a business analyst—how I approached work, how I explained things, and how I’d handle communication with people who weren’t technical.
Most of what I faced was behavioral, and the questions were anchored to my background. It was mostly about productivity, organization, values, and past experiences, and I was also given room to ask questions at the end of the rounds. The whole thing moved through a few people—usually three total interview stages—using video for at least part of the process (Microsoft Teams came up for me), and it never felt like they were trying to “catch” me.
