After a recruiter call, I moved into a case interview pretty quickly, and then the process shifted into a couple of behavioral conversations with different interviewers. The timeline stretched to about a month overall, with the rounds spaced roughly a week apart, so I had time to keep adjusting my mindset between interviews. In the more formal parts, the case interview was paired with a conversational approach—lots of back-and-forth, and an easy-to-follow flow rather than an interrogation.
For me, the case itself didn’t feel impossibly hard. It was still structured enough that it forced me to think clearly under time pressure, but it was manageable, especially because I’d already been doing case prep for months. I did get tripped up by my performance relative to what I hoped for, though—my final impression wasn’t strong enough to earn a callback. Across the behavioral rounds, the questions were very much about fit: why consulting, how I came to this role, and how I handled different situations. People generally felt friendly and receptive, and the recruiter/coordinator support made the whole thing run smoothly.
