Average Positive United States

My Humana interview experience followed a pretty conventional structure, even though it moved at a steady pace. I started with a short phone screening—about thirty minutes—then I went into a longer in-depth interview session with the hiring manager that covered a range of technical and engineering questions. It felt relatively respectful and “humane” compared to harsher setups I’d encountered.

In terms of the broader sequence, it also lined up with the idea of multiple rounds: an initial recruiter touchpoint, then a technical coding interview, and later a more architectural/system-design style conversation with senior people such as an architect and a director. The whole process took a few weeks overall, around six weeks in one version of the timeline I experienced.

Easy Negative United States

This process felt like a time sink from the start. The HR team didn’t schedule my interview even after I was expecting it, and when they did finally move things around, the whole session ran with everyone rushing because it hadn’t been set up with a proper timeline. It was also unclear what role they were actually recruiting for, and I never got clarity on salary either.

Because communication was so delayed and inconsistent, the interview itself didn’t feel like a real, coordinated screening—it felt improvised, and that made it hard to take seriously. In total, I spent time waiting for updates and then dealing with a session that started late and felt rushed. I didn’t receive an offer, and I walked away believing the biggest issue wasn’t just the format—it was the lack of basic planning and timely communication.
