Difficult Positive Bengaluru

After the recruiter coordination, I ended up with two rounds, and the overall difficulty felt high. The first was an AI fluency system design problem where the scenario allowed AI to be used, so the scope went beyond what I expected from a typical high-level design discussion. I had to think through how the designed system would connect to an existing system and its data inputs, and surprisingly, the way that integration would work was something I needed to decide during the round rather than being given upfront.

The second round stayed in design territory, but it felt even more distinct from the common playbook. Instead of matching a familiar pattern, I was asked for a difficult design that pushed my understanding and structure.

Average Positive Gurgaon, Haryana

My journey started pretty quickly: I had a coding round with medium-style questions that were framed like GeekForGeeks problems, and then I moved into system design where they asked me to design a video streaming pipeline. That second round felt especially solid because it pulled the discussion into architecture and flow rather than just letting me list components.

I also had an earlier online assessment step that mixed coding and data structures/algorithms style questions, followed by multiple tech rounds that included two DSA rounds and a technical managerial round, and then HR came in afterward for salary discussion and fit. Across the process, the difficulty was generally in the average-to-straightforward range for technical rounds, but it dragged on once the interviews ended. Even after I got to the later stages, communication fell apart—there was a lot of waiting, and I felt like the panel disappeared without any clear next step.

Interview Structure & Rounds

Candidates typically go through multiple rounds, often starting with a coding assessment followed by data structures and algorithms (DSA) questions, system design discussions, and a bar-raiser round. The process can vary in length, with some candidates experiencing 3 to 8 rounds, often including HR discussions at the end.

Technical & Coding Challenges

The coding rounds generally focus on medium to hard problems, often resembling LeetCode-style questions, and require candidates to articulate their thought process while coding. Candidates should expect a mix of DSA questions and specific technical knowledge relevant to the role, such as JavaScript or Android.

System Design Focus

System design interviews are a significant part of the process, often requiring candidates to design complex systems or applications, such as a video streaming pipeline or the Hotstar app. Candidates should be prepared for in-depth discussions about architecture, integration, and trade-offs.
