My assessment felt harshly one-sided from the start. After reaching the interview stage, I got a rapid, high-pressure block of LLD questions—seven of them—where I was expected to produce working code for each within about an hour. The interviewer supplied working context and basically wanted textbook-style answers, and there wasn’t any real willingness to discuss tradeoffs or collaborate.
What threw me off most was the dynamic: the interviewer barely spoke, didn’t seem interested in my reasoning, and even when my answers were correct, there were moments where the feedback came across as offended because I hadn’t matched the exact phrasing from whatever reference they had in mind. It felt like the whole round was about completing the checklist rather than understanding how I think.

Difficult Neutral Bengaluru
I went through a structured four-round process: an initial HR-style introductory discussion, then a DSA coding round with Graph and DP-style questions. After that came an LLD round where I had to design something like Splitwise, and the last step was an HLD discussion focused on designing my previous system. Overall it felt like a fairly deliberate sequence that pushed both my problem-solving and how I think about system design.
The day it really stood out was when the process compressed into multiple rounds on Sunday. I ended up doing DSA, LLD, and HLD in the same day, with the DSA questions described as medium LeetCode-style problems (not the typical “standard” ones), and I had to design a piece of a system like a bus agency—covering database schema choices, API/method design, and scaling/optimization thinking. There was also genuine back-and-forth: the interviewer was helpful and we discussed optimization for future scale. Still, speed became a pressure point; I missed the offer after the HLD round didn’t go the way I wanted, and it felt like I was running out of time rather than just being evaluated on my best thinking.
