My process felt intense and very structured from the start: it was a whole-day interview. The first part was a group case study round, and after reading the cases I had to do a roleplay meant to persuade the interviewers to “buy” into the approach. It was clearly designed to test how I could translate analysis into a convincing sales narrative, not just whether I could read the material.
After that, I went into interviews with area sales managers. Those felt more straightforward and typical—more direct conversation about my fit and how I’d operate day to day. Later, I was told I’d been pre-selected, and that meant a final conversation with the head of sales. The overall feel was demanding but coherent, like each stage was meant to filter toward the exact type of sales execution they were looking for.

Difficult Negative London, England
The thing that made my experience stand out was the timing. I ended up doing a process that stretched into something like 12 hours, starting at 3 a.m., and I was ultimately told to show up for a feedback call that I asked to reschedule because I’d already been up for 15 hours. They pushed it to 5 a.m. the next day, and then the call never really turned into anything for me—I was rejected.
What surprised me most was the reason I received. I wasn’t criticized for a technical gap or a misunderstanding of the role; I was told I wasn’t “empathetic enough,” as if they could really judge something like that from a single corporate interview. By the end, I just felt the process was harsher and less thoughtful than the effort required, especially given how extreme the schedule had been.
