I went through a four-round process that stretched to roughly six weeks, with a lot of effort just to line up schedules. I even had a trial cooking session as part of the journey, and each conversation felt friendly, respectful, and professional. The tone overall stayed positive, and the interactions felt like they were happening on an even playing field.
Still, the end of the process left a sour note for me: after all that time and repeated coordination, I only received a short rejection email. Even though the team I spoke with was kind throughout, the long run-up didn’t match what I was hoping the process would lead to, so the overall experience lingered with that “too much for so little” feeling.

Difficult Positive Vietnam
My process included three technical interviews plus an executive interview. The technical portion leaned heavily into infrastructure and operational themes—topics like Kubernetes and Terraform came up, along with CI/CD and monitoring.
I also had a software engineering DSA-style screen where I solved a programming problem and then talked through the approach, including the time complexity as I explained my reasoning. The interview felt fairly focused on how I reasoned rather than just the final answer. Overall it was demanding, and it pushed me to be clear under pressure, especially while walking through the solution.
