Average Negative Dublin, Dublin

My interview process took around three weeks, and it included a quick HR phone call, an online Codility coding assessment, and then four in-person interviews. I remember that three of the interviews happened back-to-back on the same day, which made the day feel tiring even though the interviewers themselves were friendly.

Two of the in-person interviews were more technical, one focused more on culture, and the last interview was with the hiring manager. After everything finished, I expected feedback about how I performed or at least a clearer closing conversation, but instead I was contacted again only to ask about my overall experience with the interview process. They didn’t provide specific performance feedback, didn’t make an offer, and then they froze the position. In the end, I left feeling like I’d invested a meaningful amount of time only to be left without the kind of closure that would have made the process feel respectful.

Average Negative United States

My interview process was long enough that it didn’t feel like a typical “few rounds” situation—it was measured in hours and involved multiple deep sessions. It started with an initial recruiter contact and then a coding assessment with several questions in Java and SQL. After that, I had technical interviews with engineers where the format included both situational and behavioral-style questions plus hands-on coding.

The later part of the process was the real time sink. I remember moving into a virtual onsite with multiple consecutive sessions, including one that was explicitly technical and another that wrapped in culture fit. One round involved coding on a platform while dealing with a slow remote setup and an interviewer who didn’t seem fully aligned with the task, which made the whole thing more irritating than it should’ve been. There was also a technical interview where I had to demonstrate how I’d solve a problem while explaining my approach, and the bar felt higher than what I expected given that I was applying at a junior level.
