Right from the beginning, I felt like the interview didn’t match what it was supposed to be. The role was pitched as junior-level and even aligned the salary expectations that way, but the actual interview felt like it was targeting a senior-level profile.

The job description had emphasized familiarity with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Git, but my evaluation ended up relying on deep expertise that didn’t seem consistent with what HR had said to expect. HR told me I’d cover basic technical concepts, yet the questions landed at an advanced level, and the mismatch was noticeable throughout.

My experience for a software engineer role was straightforward and centered on technical questions. The rounds felt mostly technical rather than anything overly behavioral, and while nothing I saw felt like an extreme trap, the interview still demanded solid preparation.

I remember it as a “not too difficult” journey overall, but the volume and focus of the technical questions meant it wasn’t something I could coast through. The general feeling was that if I was well-prepared for what was laid out in the job description, I’d be in a good position during the interview. I didn’t end up with an offer, but the process itself felt fair and aligned with the technical expectations.
