I started with an industry-standard sequence: an online coding assessment, then a technical interview over Zoom, and later a final in-person technical stage. Once I cleared the coding component, scheduling took over and I ended up with a heavy run of meetings packed tightly together—at one point it was three hours straight of back-to-back conversations. The first part was technical, followed by HR, and then a final interview with my potential department lead.
The questions themselves leaned into Java and SQL foundations, with the technical Zoom round pushing me to write code while reasoning through problem solving. On the in-person side, the technical portion included whiteboard-style coding, and I also had manager-level time where the focus shifted slightly toward how I thought through real scenarios and how I fit with the team. In that final cluster, it wasn’t just a “solve it once” test—it felt like they were watching how I communicated my solution end to end.

Difficult Positive Dublin, Dublin
I found the tone of the interviews noticeably different from what I expected. Even when I didn’t land the answer perfectly, the interviewer feedback felt calm and corrective rather than harsh—questions were explained patiently, and there was a sense of normalizing misses so it didn’t derail the rest of the conversation. I walked out feeling like I could recover and keep thinking.
That said, the overall difficulty was still high. The interviewers took the discussion seriously and pushed me to work through the problem rather than just recite facts. The combination of challenging questions and supportive delivery made it mentally tough but not demoralizing.
