Average Negative Dublin, Dublin

I was initially told the role was junior-level and that the salary expectations would match, but the actual interview experience felt like it was targeting a senior-level candidate. Even the job description emphasized familiarity with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Git, and I prepared with that context.

During the interview, I still got rejected for not having deep expertise, but the questions and evaluation criteria didn’t match the early message about covering only basic technical concepts. The mismatch made the whole experience feel unfair and like expectations were set in one direction and judged in another.
