I went through a short, fairly standard three-round process. It started with a recruiter screen where they were pretty clear about what to expect and the timeline. A little later I met with an associate director, and the conversation felt structured around fit and fundamentals—more “why consulting/why this firm” and core motivations than anything overly tricky.
The next step was the case part. I had prep time beforehand and needed to synthesize what I found into a small deck, presenting my analysis after the prep window. The experience itself felt like a real work simulation: lots of emphasis on interpretation, making sense of the data, and communicating the story clearly rather than doing math for the sake of it. After that came a final in-person partner interview.
