Easy Negative United States

My process was otherwise easy from a question standpoint, but it got derailed by how I was treated by a senior interviewer. I remember him raising his voice and making comments that felt insulting, like I was being treated as incapable instead of simply being evaluated.

The content of the questions didn’t match the hostility—I could answer them, and they weren’t especially hard. But the difficulty was emotional and interpersonal: it was hard to stay composed when the tone was intentionally abrasive.

After the recruiter call, about a week later I got pulled into a technical screen and then eventually a superday. The superday was in person, and it leaned heavily on behavior with some senior bankers involved, which made it feel more like a real conversation about how I’d work day to day.

Before that, the first round screening and then an Excel test added a more practical edge to the process. The whole thing stretched a bit over a month end to end, and I got the sense they weren’t rushing because the in-person portion mattered.
