Average Neutral Hatfield Heath, England

I went through an automated-feeling video screening where it basically felt like I was talking into a system rather than having a real conversation. It was presented as mostly “what I said,” not how I could read the room or show much interpersonal presence, and the whole thing gave me a robotic, almost one-way vibe.

After that, the platform-style interviews continued into a HireVue video format that asked logic-style questions and also required a recorded video response. The hardest part for me was that I couldn’t redo my answers—there was no opportunity for retakes—so I had to get everything right in a single attempt. I also remember doing the platform setup as part of the process, but it didn’t feel human-centered until later stages.

I was asked for relevant experiences right away, and I talked through work tied to their portfolio. The interview felt skills-based with a lot of hypothetical questions, and it mostly revolved around whether my background matched what they wanted for the software development side of the role.

In the hiring-manager style round, I had to introduce myself and go over previous experience, and then the conversation shifted into behavioral questions focused on whether I’d fit the team and how I handled situations. The atmosphere was straightforward and smooth, and it didn’t feel like there were any curveballs.
