My technical round ended up feeling rushed and poorly prepared. The interviewer started with basics like data types in JavaScript and then moved into React-related tasks, including implementing a simple debounce function. But the experience felt unprofessional right from the start because it took around ten minutes just to get a working online code editor set up.
At that point, it felt like the interview was almost improvised, and I remember wanting to end it, but I pushed through anyway. In another part of the process I went through, the interviewer gave me code to explain how it worked, and when I described it, the feedback suggested I didn’t understand hoisting—specifically claiming that let and const weren’t hoisted. That combination of a clunky setup and feedback that felt off made the whole day feel disappointing rather than constructive. Overall, I left with frustration, even though the questions were within common frontend topics.

My recruiter-style screen was extremely short—about ten minutes. The conversation centered on the internship program, and then they asked a handful of questions about my resume. Most of the discussion was tied to my projects, including whether I had worked with someone and how I approached a project where collaboration was involved.
It felt very easy and low-pressure, more like an early fit check than a technical evaluation. I didn’t move forward to an offer from there, but the limited time meant I was only assessed on the basics.
