After the initial recruiter conversations, the process moved quickly and stayed pretty well organized throughout. I had an HR phone screen first, then I went through a sequence of interviews with multiple leaders: my direct report, a director from another department, the director over my department (my boss’s boss), and finally the VP. The whole thing felt structured—expectations and next steps were clearly outlined, and the interviewer team was professional and communicative.
What stood out to me was how much feedback and coordination I felt I was getting as I moved through each round. Conversations stayed grounded in who I was and how I’d approach the role, and my would-be manager seemed especially focused on sharing what each interviewer was thinking and keeping things moving. The discussions didn’t feel adversarial; they felt like different points of view checking whether I fit.

Easy Neutral Saint Louis, MO
My interview was straightforward, but it felt like it missed a few core elements. The flow itself was easy to follow, yet the questions didn’t fully cover the kind of integral details I expected for the role. The interviewer’s energy was low and it was hard not to notice they didn’t seem very engaged, even though it might’ve been influenced by the day.
I got through it with little friction, but afterward I didn’t feel like the conversation truly captured the full picture. It seemed possible the dynamic was tied more to the department than to me or to the overall company.
