I recently passed Google’s Hiring Assessment for a Product Solutions Engineer role in India, and at the point I wrote about it I was just waiting to hear what came next. The assessment result itself was a clear checkpoint—enough that I felt momentum, but not enough information to map the next steps.

I interviewed for a Google Web Solutions Engineer role in India, and the timeline was pretty spread out. A recruiter reached out around Jan 30, then I had screening on Feb 9. After that, technical rounds ran across Feb 17–18, where I dealt with a mix of DSA and web/system topics.

Later in the process, I had an SQL plus system design plus behavioral style director round in late February. The director segment itself was short—listed at roughly 5–10 minutes—so I remember it feeling like a compressed final checkpoint that still had to cover multiple dimensions quickly. Overall, it followed the sequence of screening, then technical rounds, then SQL/system design/behavioral, and finally the director round.
