I started with a recruiter conversation and it felt pretty chill—mostly behavioral questions, like describing times I’d handled multiple deadlines at once. That first step set a relaxed tone, and I was glad it stayed focused on how I’d worked rather than trying to trick me.

About a week later I moved into the technical side with the hiring manager. They walked through my resume, asked behavioral follow-ups tied to what I’d listed, and then shifted into a quick, rapid-fire concepts check. I covered database and networking topics, multithreading, object-oriented design patterns, and principles like SOLID and dependency injection. The last part was a coding round, and it wasn’t LeetCode-style—more about implementing classes and functions to compute something specific, with some C++ involved on my end.

I went through a three-stage process that started with a resume submission and then quickly moved into a timed assessment. After a phone screening with HR, I was sent a logic test that I had to complete in about 30 minutes. The test was roughly 40 questions, and it focused on logic rather than anything that felt like direct engineering work.

The final step was an in-person panel interview with HR, a team lead, and another support engineer. That last stage felt more like an interview about fit and communication, with multiple people assessing how I worked through the discussion based on what I’d done before.
