Easy Negative Mumbai

My first contact in the process was a recruiter call that quickly shifted in a way I didn’t expect. The recruiter asked very intrusive personal questions, including what my spouse does, what my parents do, and how many kids I have. Then the conversation turned toward my salary history.

What felt especially off was that it turned into an argument about my salary history without giving any clear details about the role itself or the salary range they were targeting. The whole exchange felt uncomfortable and discriminatory to me, and it didn’t seem connected to assessing my fit for the engineering work.

Average Positive United States

My process started as an on-campus interview after my campus career fair. It felt like the day was built around momentum: the interview happened after a networking event the night before, and that night let me talk to both managers and people already in the role I was interviewing for.

The next day’s conversation carried that same familiar tone. I had a clearer sense of what the people doing the job actually sounded like, and that helped me come into the interview more relaxed than I usually am. The overall difficulty felt average—more like matching my experience to the work than wrestling through obscure surprises.
