My interview journey felt rigorous and heavily centred on algorithmic problem solving. It started with a structured process that stayed focused on data structures and algorithms, with the difficulty level described as broadly in line with a serious software engineering interview—except for me, where it leaned hard. I remember the preparation being clearly applicable to standard coding interviews, but the actual tasks still demanded full attention under pressure.
One part that stuck with me was a long-form HackerRank-style test with multiple tasks due within a week. The mix included easy and medium problems, and one of the medium items required dynamic programming. I wasn’t able to finish all of them, and that set the tone for the later stages: even when I got through portions, the remaining gaps mattered.

Difficult Negative United Kingdom
I went through an experience that started with an upfront test and then moved into mostly algorithmic whiteboard work. After that, there was also a lunch with junior staff where I got a sense of how people interacted day to day, and then I waited to hear whether I was pulled into the next round.
Once I got into the technical interviews, it felt very targeted: a lot of whiteboard problem solving, then a design-style conversation. What stood out was how the interviewers handled feedback and collaboration; after an object-oriented design discussion, the interviewer actually spent time pairing with me at the end, walking through improvements to my code and ways to make the approach stronger.
