I showed up for an interview that felt pretty relaxed from the start. The conversation was mainly with the store manager, sometimes alongside an assistant or shift leader, and it was centered on basic fit questions like why I wanted to work there and what I could see myself doing in the next few years. They also asked about how I worked with other people, how I handled pressure, and whether I’d led a group before.
I didn’t get hit with anything technical or overly complex. The biggest thing they seemed to care about was that I was personable and could bring energy to the floor. In Quebec, my interview was done in both English and French with management, which made it feel more structured but still easy to answer as long as I stayed natural. They also talked about company culture and what the job environment was like day to day.

Easy Positive San Diego, CA
My Foot Locker interview started in a more social setup than I expected. I was brought into a group setting where the pace was casual, and the questions were mostly about me and how I’d handle real customer moments. People went one by one, answering what they could, and it was clear they were listening for confidence and willingness to engage rather than polished “perfect” responses.
They asked about when I’d gone above and beyond for a customer, plus general situational questions around customer service and teamwork. One thing that stood out was the emphasis on being able to speak up—initiating conversation helped, because the vibe wasn’t purely interview-style Q&A. The tone stayed friendly, and it felt like they wanted to see personality more than any specialty knowledge.
