Difficult Negative United States

I applied and then ran into an early assessment that was heavily structured and frankly not what I expected for the role I was targeting. I did a TripleByte quiz that skewed way more backend-heavy than I anticipated, even though I applied for a frontend-focused position. The test included backend languages and concepts and even had system design questions.

I didn’t pass, which wasn’t entirely shocking given how off-target the backend emphasis was for me, but the overall vibe of the process felt impersonal. I got a rejection through an automated, no-reply email so fast that there wasn’t any human conversation to clarify what happened or where I might have gone wrong. It also didn’t feel like I was given a chance to speak to a recruiter at all.
