The recruiter conversation was straightforward and informative, and then I had conversations with the hiring side where the tone stayed welcoming rather than combative. I remember feeling at ease even though the content was challenging.
The rounds I went through emphasized fit and substance. I had multiple interviews across roughly three rounds, and I leaned on what I knew about ETL-style thinking and API experience because those topics kept coming up. A few conversations also had the vibe of culture fit and role alignment, and the interviewers seemed invested in understanding how I worked and how I communicated.

The next day, HR sent an assessment and told me to complete it within a week. That part was hard.
