Difficult Positive Dublin, Dublin

I had a pretty smooth, low-stress process where the panel made a point of keeping things comfortable. It kicked off with a recruiter screen, and then I moved into interviews with the team. Across the rounds, the questions stayed fairly grounded: I talked through my previous experience, described what I’d done in past roles, and answered plenty of behavioral prompts like strengths/weaknesses, time management, and how I handled tighter schedules.

On the technical side, it wasn’t theoretical or overly abstract. I covered core finance and accounting concepts at a practical level, and the conversation usually tied back to my resume and how my background would fit the day-to-day work. I also remember being asked why I wanted to work there, and the team members were relaxed enough that it felt more like a discussion than an interrogation.

Average Positive Limerick, Limerick

I went through a more structured, competency-heavy process that felt tough but still manageable. I had multiple rounds, and the interviews were clearly built around past experiences—questions like describing a time when I handled a situation, worked through challenges, and demonstrated specific skills. The panel asked me to get very concrete, and they kept connecting the discussion back to what I’d done before.

At some point, an assessment-style step and technical questioning came into play, including finance- and accounting-related fundamentals. The hiring steps also included HR-style discussion: communication, background, and strengths/weaknesses showed up alongside the domain questions. Even when it wasn’t explicitly “theoretical,” I was still expected to explain financial reporting terms and core concepts clearly.
