After a recruiter reached out, I ended up with an early round that leaned behavioral—questions about working in a team, handling conflict, and whether I understood the company and its values. What stood out was how the interviewer seemed to tailor follow-ups to what I said rather than sticking to a generic script. I then had another technical stage with two engineers that ran for about 45 minutes.
That more technical conversation had a heavy systems-and-design vibe compared to the first screen. The overall structure I experienced mapped to a DSA algorithm round first, then system design built around LLD/HLD, and later a managerial round with a behavioral component, before an HR touchpoint. Across it, the difficulty felt “average,” but the process was clearly organized around testing both algorithm fundamentals and the way I explained design tradeoffs. I walked away feeling like I’d been evaluated fairly on core competencies, but I also felt the bar was firm on how clearly I could connect implementation thinking to design reasoning.

Average Negative India
My path started with a project and LLD-style discussion, then moved into coding where I was given a DSA problem. I asked clarifying questions while reading it through, but the interviewer told me they were changing the questions and that I needed to read and understand it well enough to explain my approach to them. I left that feeling confused about what exactly they were trying to measure, because it seemed like even they weren’t locked into the prompt.
Later, the process ended up feeling exhausting in a different way. I had already gone through multiple rounds—DSA and real-world problem-solving plus a detailed system design discussion—and I received positive feedback after each step. Still, the final “tech offer discussion” turned into a letdown: it started with someone joining late, then the manager took a few minutes to do calculations and came back with an offer that was lower than what I was already making. The whole experience made me feel like time and effort weren’t being handled with transparency, and it genuinely left a sour impression even though I’d otherwise performed well.
