I went through a fast, well-organized loop of interviews that didn’t even include an HR screening at the start. The process had four rounds in total, and they were split between technical and sales-focused people.

The first interview was with a technical staff member, and the second round moved into a sales team conversation. Even though the write-up I kept described the flow in that simple way, what stood out to me most was how quickly everything was arranged and how clearly the early structure was communicated.

I started with an online application, and then a director reached out. We had a conversation that focused on what I knew about F5 and Shape, including the fact that I’d spent years working with F5 as a customer and helping assistant customers with Shape.

We discussed what the next step might be and talked about salary range. After that call, I basically went quiet—no follow-up and no message from HR, just silence. I didn’t get an offer, and the part that bothered me most was how abruptly it ended after a seemingly productive conversation.
