Difficult Positive India

My interview experience was almost an hour long and felt fully technical throughout. The discussion was centered on Power BI and the full set of pieces around it: Power Query, pivoting/reshaping data, and the way Power BI Service fits with the overall setup. We also went into external integrations and tooling, plus how I’d think about Fabric ETL pipelines, covering the usual topics like CI/CD, row-level security, and incremental refresh patterns.

The hardest part was the density of the technical areas we touched. We moved through DAX and the advanced editor, and then into how I approach building and optimizing queries in M, including things like query folding. It didn’t feel like a casual conversation, more like a deep dive, and by the end I felt like I’d covered a lot of ground. I didn’t receive an offer, but the interaction itself went well and left me with the sense that it was a serious evaluation of practical Power BI engineering.
