I went through a really unsettling EXL process that started like it was going well. After an interview day, they extended me an offer and I accepted. Soon after, the offer got “put on pause,” and the company told me to interview again for a different team.
I did the additional interviews, and that’s where things turned. Eventually, that second team went silent and ghosted me, which left the whole experience feeling inconsistent and disrespectful. It wasn’t the technical difficulty or the questions that bothered me most—it was the way the process changed course after I’d already accepted.

My interview with EXL felt surprisingly smooth and well-supported from start to finish. I had conversations where the people on the recruiting side stayed in touch, followed up after the steps, and kept the process moving without making it feel chaotic.
The technical and discussion parts didn’t involve much hassle, and overall it was easy to stay comfortable. I didn’t spend the whole time feeling interrogated; instead, the vibe stayed professional and helpful, and the rounds felt fairly lightweight. The whole thing wrapped up quickly, and I left feeling like the process reflected a decent hiring approach.
