My process kicked off with an online assessment that I had to complete within a fixed time limit. It was a blend of coding and problem-solving focused on programming and logic, and once I cleared it, the recruiter moved me forward.
After that, the rounds were straightforward and pretty reasonable. I had an HR-style conversation first where the interviewer was helpful and walked through what the company was looking for. Then I went through technical interviews that matched my stack rather than leaning on obscure LeetCode. One technical round dove into Python concepts, SQL, cloud basics, and DSA, and it also felt like they wanted clear explanations instead of just “working code.” Another round was shorter but more design-oriented, with system design prompts that asked for an end-to-end high-level application design.

Difficult Positive Astana
My journey stretched out over many rounds and felt heavy from the start. I went through multiple interview sessions—technical and client-facing—with professional interviewers and, at one point, positive feedback from the client discussion. I was surprised by how long the overall process took and how many people I ended up speaking with.
The technical difficulty showed up as “deep dive” topics rather than just basic problem-solving. I had Python-focused questions spanning core behavior like slices, classes, exceptions, and decorators, and I also ran into SQL-related questioning tied to transaction concepts. In another technical conversation, the format felt like a broad mix of conceptual explanations, real use-case scenario discussion, and hands-on coding exercises, which made the interview feel exhaustive in scope.
