They also asked about PyTest fixtures, and then we moved into automation framework design—how I’d structure things end to end, including CI/CD pipeline considerations.
The coding part felt very practical but still a bit algorithmic: I had to handle file sorting and then work through a maximum subarray style problem. Overall it felt like an average-difficulty technical evaluation with a clear focus on test automation fundamentals, not just “how to write a test” but how to reason about reliability and structure. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the technical part matched the role more closely than some other processes I’ve seen.
