My process started with an initial phone interview that went smoothly. The questions were mostly pretty basic and skewed more toward HR-type topics than anything technical, and I left feeling like the conversation had gone well. The next step was scheduled for a technical interview the following month, and that overall timeline sounded promising.
After the interviews, though, the frustrating part hit: the follow-up took far longer than I was told. I had expected to hear back sooner than I did. In one stretch it was more than a month before I got any response, and in another it felt like the company took a few months to come back at all. The in-person portion, when it happened, also leaned behavioral rather than technical, so I wasn’t thrown off by the content—what surprised me was how long everything stalled after.

After applying, I got pulled into a phone-first sequence that was pretty direct. I met with the hiring supervisor first, then moved on to an in-depth conversation with a group of engineers and managers. The people were friendly, and the way they ran the interaction didn’t feel unusual—more like they were checking my background and how I talked through my experience.
In the follow-on round, I sat across from multiple engineers, including the hiring manager, and they focused largely on behavioral questions and my resume. They also took notes while I spoke. The difficulty felt varied depending on the day, but the consistent theme was that it was conversational and experience-driven rather than heavy technical grilling.
