After a recruiter call, I joined a virtual interview that mostly felt like a relaxed conversation. The HR side was general and behavioral, and I talked through my background and the kinds of academic and extracurricular activities I’d been involved in. The vibe was friendly and low-pressure, with room for normal back-and-forth rather than rapid-fire questions.
A short while later, I had a Teams interview with two interviewers. It was pretty informal, and the discussion blended a few technical checks with behavioral questions. Near the end, I gave an oral presentation, which was the part that stood out because it wasn’t just Q&A. Overall the process felt straightforward, and when feedback came back it focused on small areas I could improve rather than feeling like a hard grilling.

I had to complete three online tests—two non-technical and one technical—each taking hours. After all that time, I got no follow-up and effectively no communication at all, even after I tried reaching out. Between those two experiences, I learned how differently the process could feel depending on the flow: one was quick and behavior-forward, and the other felt unprofessional and emotionally draining.
