After a recruiter call and a phone screen, I stepped into a case-style technical round focused on expected value. The scenario was very hands-on and specific—grocery stores and how to think through getting the same set of groceries when conditions changed. I had to work through the probability/EV logic out loud and keep my reasoning organized as I moved between parts of the calculation.
My process then expanded into a more extended run of cases. I remember doing multiple probability and statistics-heavy rounds, each tied to a different operational scenario. One case centered on optimizing something like a subway station, where the work was less about “one right answer” and more about structuring the approach. The final case I got into involved A/B testing plus more expected value exercises, and it felt like they were checking whether I could translate a business question into testable logic and data reasoning. Overall it felt like a fairly consistent, medium-level difficulty track—lots of math thinking, but not trick questions, and the pace kept me focused on method rather than just arriving at results.

It was clear they were actively testing whether I could genuinely solve the problem rather than rely on generated answers. I didn’t get an offer, and the overall difficulty matched that: challenging enough that it felt less like a test of one skill and more like an assessment of whether my reasoning stayed solid end to end.
