The recruiter set expectations that I’d move to the next stage and that I’d reconnect shortly.

In practice, I had a recruiter conversation and then meetings with hiring managers and role-focused discussions. Some parts went smoothly and felt positive while I was in the room, and I even got reassurance that an update was coming soon.

My experience had a clear pattern: lots of rounds, long wait time, and then no feedback when it ended.
