My process started with a recruiter screen, then I had a hiring manager conversation. After that, I went through a peer-oriented loop made up of multiple interviews with a handful of people. What stood out was that I had to prepare a presentation and demo ahead of time, and the format was panel-style once I joined—people asked questions while watching my walkthrough.
The rest of the loop mixed technical depth with how I explained my work. One technical round leaned into frontend with a challenge that let me use whatever framework I wanted, while other parts were more about discussing my thinking and past project decisions in a structured way. The final stage after the panel was next-step communication from the recruiter, and I never quite got to an offer.

My interview loop was a multi-round process with a lot of effort required, and it ended up feeling unfair. I went through several rounds with different stakeholders that were framed around fit for the job and fit for the culture. The final step was a two-part demo/presentation where I was told to learn their APIs and their product on my own to build a demo.
They gave me a very specific scenario and expectations for what they wanted, and I ended up spending a big chunk of time going through the API, the workflow, and even looking for relevant customer success stories to incorporate. During the demo, I was asked extremely precise business questions that I couldn’t realistically answer with the level of onboarding they provided, and I was faulted for missing details I didn’t have time to learn. Then they asked for a second demo to cover “missing” items that weren’t included in the original scenario.
