In my case, I waited a while before hearing back, and when I did, the message was the familiar “we went with other candidates” line. It wasn’t uplifting, but at least they eventually responded instead of completely disappearing.
What really affected the experience was the lack of clarity around timing and next steps. I’d also seen how disorganized it could feel: I didn’t have good information about what the interview process would involve, and even when I asked for updates, I wasn’t getting meaningful replies. It left me constantly wondering whether there was a next round happening or whether I’d been dropped quietly.
