The way they ran the process was question-based end to end, so there wasn’t much ambiguity about what I was being evaluated on. The focus was strongly on object-oriented programming fundamentals and clean code practices, and it felt like those topics were treated as must-haves. They also signaled that people skills and business thinking were a plus, but the technical side was non-negotiable.
For me, the background expectations were pretty clear. They were hiring for a specific SAP Hybris project and told me they would provide basic training, but they still expected prior familiarity with Java plus data structures and algorithms, along with OOP and Spring concepts—both theory and practical implementation.

Difficult Positive United States
My interview process felt heavier because it split into very distinct rounds that each tested something different. I had a technical round first with a lot of deep, hands-on style questioning—more than surface-level facts. The next round was managerial, focused on how I fit with the team and how I handled aspects of working together. The final round was HR, which also included salary discussion and expectations from the company.
The difficulty stood out most in the technical portion. The questions weren’t just “tell me what you know,” they probed whether I truly had command of the material and could work through it in real time. The managerial and HR steps felt more like evaluation of my fit and communication than technical assessment, which made the overall sequence feel purposeful.
