My experience was dragged out and, honestly, it started to feel messy right after the recruiter screen. I applied and about a week later I had a call with a recruiter where we mostly covered my resume and what I’d done before. A week after that I had to send availability for a next round with the hiring manager, and that was scheduled roughly two weeks out. The hiring manager gave a lot of useful context about the role, and I walked away thinking I was a strong fit.
After that, things went off the rails with the technical screening. When I sent availability, I later got a message saying none of the times I offered worked and they needed me to find a slot that fit the interviewer instead. The person running the technical screen didn’t seem aligned with the actual job focus: even though the role was described as being tied to managing mobile work, all the questions ended up being data-focused. After I finished that technical round, I was asked to schedule a behavioral interview. It took about another week, and when it happened the interviewer felt unprepared—questions came off vague and it seemed like they were making things up as they went.
