Then I hit system design, where I had to reason through a bigger-scope architecture problem rather than a single algorithm. Later, there was a hiring manager and/or leadership-style interview that felt more like a fit and communication check. The overall process length varied, but it still followed the same broad progression: recruiter call, behavioral, code tests (more than one), then system design, and finally a manager/leadership round. In one part of the scheduling, there were multiple calls with teams across different regions, and it made the process feel a little stretched, even though it stayed fairly standard.

My experience was long and frustrating in a way that really drained my motivation. I went through a multi-stage sequence—phone screen, an engineering screen, two separate coding interviews, then system design, and later additional rounds like values or hiring manager/leadership. Overall it ran 5–6 stages, and it dragged out for almost a month, with lots of waiting between steps.
The most disappointing part was how inconsistent the experience felt from interviewer to recruiter. At times, the engineering panel gave off an energy that felt like they were simply going through motions, not engaging with the conversation. Meanwhile, the recruiter side was responsive for scheduling and logistics, but it never translated into concrete answers. I was left without meaningful feedback, even after following up, and there wasn’t even clarity around why I was rejected. One process ended with me hearing nothing after the technical interviews for weeks, despite reaching out.
