After applying via LinkedIn, I got an invitation to interview and started waiting on the coding interview result. The whole process felt guided once I was sent a document explaining what would happen in each step, and I had a decent amount of time to read up on the company and team beyond what I already knew.

My first real interaction was an HR-focused round where we covered my background and previous work, why I’d applied, and what I wanted from the role. It also included discussion of my communication style and general behavioral questions aimed at motivation and cultural fit, plus the practical parts like relocation and salary expectations. The coding part that followed was centered on algorithm and data structure questions, which matched the technical focus they seemed to care about.

I went through a pretty structured, multi-round flow with lots of check-ins along the way. First came an HR screen that felt friendly and calm, where we went over my CV and why I wanted Delivery Hero. After that, I moved into two technical rounds that were both about the same core themes: walking through my experience, talking through system design, and doing hands-on coding.

In the team-member technical round, the process included a small coding challenge with two tasks plus a code refactor discussion, and we also touched on architectural decisions. Later, an engineering manager repeated the general structure—my background, system design, how I’d worked with a team, and a few situational questions. The final stage from another department was a bar-raiser style round with a director of engineering, mixing behavioral questions with programming and another two-task coding segment. I ended with a short HR follow-up call to discuss the offer.
