I went through DAZN’s hiring process and it genuinely felt professional and organized at every stage. It had the general polish you’d associate with big tech-style recruiting, just with a slightly lower bar than the most intense FANG-level environments. The communication and pacing stood out to me as more deliberate than stressful, and I left the process feeling like I’d gained a valuable experience even though I didn’t get an offer.
At one point I did an on-site-style technical segment described as pair programming, where I was asked to complete a generic hiring test that wasn’t really connected to my day-to-day work. Most of the time, the people in the room were quiet, and the lack of real feedback made the session feel longer and less productive than it needed to be. After I submitted, the engineers ended up criticizing the implementation heavily—repeating the same points and dragging the discussion out rather than moving forward efficiently.

I was contacted through a recruitment site by a senior recruiter about a Front End Developer role in Amsterdam. After an initial call where we reviewed my overall background and discussed the team and what the process would be like, I was told I’d hear back the following week. When nothing happened, I followed up multiple times over the next 10 days—two messages through the recruiting site’s system and one email directly to the recruiter.
The frustrating part was the complete lack of response. I never received an update, a rejection, or any kind of closure—just silence. The timeline stretched out, and by the time I’d been waiting for about two months, it still felt like the process had stalled without a clear reason.
