I went through five total rounds that blended conversation, business alignment, and a technical check. It started with an HR-style interview where we covered motivations, my favorite project, and basic logistics like right-to-work. Then I met with the Head of Data Science, where the discussion shifted into why I wanted the role, what DataRobot’s technical capabilities meant to me, and how I thought I’d fit into the team.

After that came a conversation with the Head of Sales, which was unexpectedly personal in tone—talking about my background outside my CV, and how I approached sales culture and customer-facing elements. The technical part with a Data Scientist then focused on feature engineering, big data management, and how I’d handle common data issues. I also had to explain why cross-validation mattered.
